Namawtay Adeikhtan (Sacred vow) (Namawtay Adeikhtan using the Seitbadee with 27 beads) "Seitbadee" is a meditation tool for concentration similar to the rosary and the Hindu "mala". It has 108 beads or 27 beads. Some people also use a Nine bead seitbadee. An Adeikhtan is a magical ritual used to produce a certain positive result by making a promise and keeping it. It is a sacred vow. The number nine is considered to be a very magically potent number. Every thing in this Adeikhtan adds up to Nine. |

| e | Namawtay Magical Ritual to manifest your wish - Do you want a job desperately? - Do you want a promotion? - Do you need to find an apartment urgently? 1. You need to use a Seitbadee (rosary) with 27 beads. 2. Pray to the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha. 3. Take the five precepts. Make a promise in front of the Buddha altar to do it for Nine days without interruption. If there is a break, you need to start again from the beginning. You can break up the counting of beads into a morning and evening session or do it on the bus while you are commuting if the situation permits. It is best done at home in front of the altar. 4. Start on the day of your birth. (Monday, Tuesday etc. It is the day you were born.) Eat a vegetarian diet that day. This is a must. The rest of the days you can eat your normal diet. 5. Count the Namatay paragraph four rounds with the beads. You have to recite the paragraph for each bead. When you finish 27 beads, that is one round. 6. Count the Sandima paragraph for three rounds of the Seitbadee. 7. Count the Thuriyan paragraph for three rounds of the Seitbadee. 8. Count the last paragraph with your name inserted in the blank. 9. After you finish your Adeikhtan session, share your merits with the following: - The six planes of devas - The twenty planes of Brahmas. - Sakka, King of Tavatimsa deva plane. - The Four Deva Kings who protect the Buddha Sasana. - The Guardian devas of the planet earth and the planets of the solar system. - All the sentient beings of the 31 planes of existence. - Your parents, teachers, relatives and freinds of your past lives. (We do not know where they are now, if they are in a good plane, they might be able to help you in your difficulties.) - All the holy weizzars and holy saints. - Your guardian deva, the guardian deva of the house, the village, the precinct, the town, the county, the state and the country. - At the end, strike the Kyesi (triangular brass vibrational instrument used by Burmese for sharing merits using the sound waves.) three times so that all those who hear you can say "sadhu, sadhu, sadhu", this means "well done". - alway do the Adeikhtan at the same time if possible. - wear newly washed clean and comfortable clothes. - light three candles and light an incense stick made of sandalwood. The devas like the smell of sandalwood. The three candles signify the Buddha, the Dhamma and the Sangha. If you do not have three, just light one candle. Some people also light five candles to signify the Trile Gems - Buddha, Dhamma and the Sangha plus parents and teachers. Good luck with your Adeikhtan. Saya U Moe
